About

Turning video from a one-off creative expense into durable communication infrastructure.

I'm Jordan Lloyd, a designer, creative systems consultant, and educator helping organizations rethink how they produce video.

For nearly two decades, I've worked across broadcast, technology, product, and brand, translating complex ideas into clear visual communication. Along the way, the work evolved from creating individual films to designing the systems that make great work repeatable.

Today my practice sits at the intersection of design, motion, production, and systems thinking. I help organizations build durable creative workflows that scale across formats, platforms, teams, and growing libraries of content. The goal isn't simply to deliver a successful project. It's to leave behind a production system that's stronger than the one it replaces.

That work includes product storytelling, interface animation, launch films, proof-of-concept visualization, and the research-to-reality work of helping ambitious ideas earn alignment, funding, and momentum.

I'm currently developing Scalable Video Design Systems (SVDS): a methodology for modern video production that combines strategy, reusable creative assets, structured workflows, and AI-native production practices. Every client engagement helps refine the system, and every improvement carries forward into the next.

I'm also exploring how those ideas become software through Pr0j, a production platform designed around durable creative infrastructure rather than traditional project management.

I'm an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in After Effects and hold a Bachelor of Design (BDes) from the York University / Sheridan College Joint Program in Design.

Every project contributes to a larger body of work: understanding how modern creative teams can produce better work with greater clarity, less friction, and systems that improve with every engagement.

Education

Bachelor of Design (BDes) · York / Sheridan Joint Program in Design (YSDN) · 2003–2007

A four-year joint design degree run between York University and Sheridan College, in its time one of the strongest design programs in Canada. Foundational training across typography, visual systems, design history, and craft. Now succeeded by York University's BDes program in the Department of Design.

Cross-Disciplinary Certificate in Digital Media · York University (Faculty of Fine Arts) · 2007

A cross-disciplinary York certificate completed alongside the BDes, recognizing digital-media study across the Faculty of Fine Arts. An early formal step toward the screen and interaction work that followed.

Continuing professional development

Extensive self-directed study through fxphd.com early in the career: professional-grade online training in visual effects, compositing, and motion graphics, taught by working industry supervisors. No formal certificate, but a foundational period of deep craft development.
